Bachelor in physiotherapy produces competent health science professionals' who possess the knowledge and ability to manageand prevent problems affecting the physical functioning of the human body, and to maximize the performance of human movement. They focus on enabling clients to achieve optimal independence in movement andfunction. They also implement evidence-based techniques to manage disorders of the human body for people of all age groups.
It is the integration of art and science with a focus on enhancing hands-on skills. Physiotherapists provide treatment, preventive advice and care while rehabilitating those with physical and psychological impairment to maximize functional abilities for a healthy lifestyle. Hence, phyisotherappists get good career opportunities to practice.
Competency:
After successful completion of the training candidate will be able to take care of any Physical Deformities, CerebralPalsy Care & handling, Neurological Deficit detection & Remedial Therapeutic measures, Rehabilitation, Vocational Training advice, Gait Training, Use of Walking Aids, Electrotherapy, Exercise therapy, PNF, Nursing & FirstAid, Use of Prosthetics & Orthotics, Manual & Auto-Traction, Use of CPM, Knowledge of various equipment used for Occupational Therapy, Remedial Gymnastic, HydroTherapy, Manual Activities & Craft, Post-Operative specific Care, Community Educational Aids, Interpretation of Biological Test like Biochemistry, BMD, NCV, CT Scan reportetc.
Employability:
After completing the training the candidate will be able to work in the Nursing Home & Private Hospital, Day Care Centre, Primary Health Centre, Old Age Home, Doctors Clinic, Polyclinic, Independent Home Visit etc. or under supervision of BPT/MPT. In majority of the students opt for private practice but those will seek placement, they will be placed in Pvt. Hospital through placement agencies.
Duration of physiotherapy Course: Four Years (8 Semesters) + Six Months Paid Internships in major hospitals & Abroad like Germany & Canada
Eligibility for physiotherapy Course: Candidate must have passed their 12th level of Education from the recognised educational board. They must have physics, Chemistry & Biology as the main Subjects.
Minimum Percentage required: 45%
